Kentucky Lake

It had been a while since we had seen Nathan's Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Eldred so we decided to visit them a week after we had gotten back from the Ozarks. Jennifer, Laney, Noah and I all drove to Kentucky in her car. Nick and Nathan decided to ride their motorcycles there since it was supposed to be nice weather. Peggy and her friend, Nancy, were also there in addition to Nathan's cousin and cousin-in-law. Needless to say, it was a full house.

We went shopping (Noah is such a good little shopper), went out to dinner, rode around the lake on the boat and generally just relaxed. We had a pretty enjoyable time, except that Nathan's battery got fried in the bike and he had to go buy a new one. This relatively inexpensive trip turned out to be a little more expensive than originally anticipated. It's really bad timing considering that I'm on unpaid maternity leave and Nathan is laid off. But other than that, the trip was a good one!

Lake of the Ozarks

Nathan and I took our first trip with Noah to visit his Aunt Virginia at the Lake of the Ozarks. He did pretty well on the drive there, since he slept most of the way.
We had a good time visiting with Aunt "Grandma" Virginia and cousin Brett. I think the most excitement we had was when we went to the outlet mall and bought clothes for Noah. I bought mostly 12 month clothes, since they were on clearance. It's hard to believe that he's ever going to be big enough to wear them.

For the most part, we all just hung around the house and relaxed, which was a nice change of pace. Although, Nathan and I did manage to play quite a bit of Tetris on an old Game Boy (do they even make those anymore?!?!?).

Five Generations

When I was born (almost 30 years ago) my great-great grandma was still alive. I have pictures of me, my dad, my grandma, my great grandma and my great-great grandma all together. Now that Noah is here, we are fortunate enough to still have 5 generations. Here I am again with my dad, grandma and great grandma and my new baby boy.
